Our Love Story Amber and Heather’s love story began in an antique shop in Montana. Amber was on a work trip, she stopped in a small antique shop where she saw some vinyl records and remembered her friend from roller derby, Heather, collected records. The very next time Amber saw Heather at a mutual friend’s house, she mentioned she thought of her when she saw the records. Heather blushed and got all excited. She was so excited…that she messaged, not Amber but, one of Amber’s best friends, Liz. LOL!! Heather has been teased ever since. First Kiss It was right at the beginning of their first date, as promised by Heather!! Heather knocked on the door. Amber opened it, bashfully. Heather walked in and said, “Hi." They hugged and she leaned down and kissed Amber immediately in the hallway of the Tiffin house. First Date The first date was at the Vine in Coralville. Heather picked Amber up in her newly cleaned truck. They surprised one another with flowers, Amber gave Heather an orange rose, and Heather gave Amber a bouquet of rainbow flowers. (If you were on FB at all during this time you would have seen those flowers!) The Covert Operation Proposal Plan During a trip to Colorado Amber came up with a great idea of how to surprise Heather with the proposal. She needed Liz’s help to do it. She told Liz to contact Heather and tell Heather that she wanted to surprise Amber for St Patrick’s Day by flying back to Iowa for a visit. Amber and Liz knew they had to plan this just right, so that’s when Liz called Heather so she wouldn’t suspect anything. That way Heather thinks that Amber doesn’t know Liz is coming, but the whole plan is her idea!!&nbsp;Liz is a double agent! Heather thinks that Amber has no knowledge of Liz coming for St Patrick’s day.Why is this important you may be asking?? Well, Amber and Heather both promised Liz that they wouldn’t propose unless she (Liz) was back in Iowa. So, Amber knew that if Heather thought for one second that Amber knew Liz was coming, Amber may be suspicious that Heather was going to propose. That’s why Amber planned this all in secret. The Proposals Unbeknownst to Amber~ Heather bought Amber an engagement ring.Then unbeknownst to Heather ~Amber bought Heather an engagement ring.Heather asked Jack about proposing to Amber. She asked if he would mind holding on to the ring and hiding it from her.&nbsp;He put it up in his closet.Not long after that, Amber had a similar conversation with Jack. She asked him if he would hide Heather’s ring from her in his closet.There the rings sat for almost 3 months…about 1ft from each other in his closet!!!&nbsp;&nbsp;😊&nbsp; Heather’s Proposal:3/16/24 She had Liz ask Amber to take her to the grocery store so she could get her proposal stuff ready. When Amber came back. The scavenger hunt began.&nbsp;The dogs were all in cute costumes. Kai had a bag on her, at first Amber thought Kai pooped in the house, but it was the first riddle for the hunt!! They went to their favorite coffee shop, where they had their first kiss, then to Raygun, and Carver and where they had their first date, where they first met…then finally where they were going to call their first home together is where she proposed. She had their close friends &amp; immediate family there ready with signs while she got down on one knee. She also surprised Amber with a limo ride and dinner. Amber’s Proposal:3/17/24 Amber had trouble at first deciding on what to do then she realized Liz was coming in on St Patrick’s day! Then a brilliant idea came to her!! What better place to ask Heather to be her wife than during the SaPaDaPaSo Parade in downtown Cedar Rapids!! She remembered Heather saying she always wanted someone to do something big like that for her; to show her how much they love her. It was PERFECT!! She had to get it all planned out. She couldn’t use Heather’s truck, too suspicious. She reached out to her friend Joey, who was able to enter the company she was working for at the time into the parade. What a great cover!! Heather had no idea!! Joey even “reached out” asking us for help to decorate for the parade.**Side Note** Heather was getting mad one night during decorating because Amber was doing most of the work. LOL!!&nbsp;Little did Heather know it was for her proposal. Amber asked for immediate friends and family to be on the float and hand out candy. She had 2 big signs made that said, “Heather, will you marry me?”&nbsp;The first thing Heather noticed was her sister Bridget in the parade. She said, “Why is Bridget in the parade? Amber said, “this is why, and proceeded to ask her to marry her. Some Funny side notes **Heather at one point asked Joey and Liz if she should ask Amber to marry her during the parade. They both were like, uhm, no! Bad idea!! She would hate that! Plus, her boys wouldn’t come!&nbsp;LOL!! **Amber bought t-shirts for the kids to wear to the parade. She had trouble getting Lennon to put hers on. She asked Lennon if she had to use restroom, so she could secretly give the shirt to her...Lennon said, "No, I don't need to go to restroom!" With a bit of Irish Luck (pun intended)- They were able to get the shirt on her. &nbsp;&nbsp;
